Can Wang

Can Wang has worked as a postdoctoral fellow in City Science research group in MIT Media Lab, after obtaining his doctorate from College of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tongji University, China. He has a background in urban science and planning with data science. Can is mainly interested in the area of urban simulation, big data analytics, and application of artificial intelligence in urban studies. He has over 10 years of experience in a wide variety of urban planning projects, including traffic simulation of Qingdao 2014 World Horticulture Exposition, research on multi-scenario prediction and strategies of urban size of Shanghai City, and research on spatial optimization methods of commercial complex based on behavior analysis. Can joined the L3 group in the hope of making contributions to data analysis and development of new urban modeling and simulating products
in China.
